Netflix is poised to dominate the streaming scene with several high-profile releases. Leading the charge is the highly anticipated second part of Wednesday Season 2, scheduled to premiere on September 3rd. Following the dramatic cliffhanger of the first half, the remaining episodes will continue Wednesday Addams’s gothic adventures at Nevermore Academy, with reports suggesting Lady Gaga may join the cast. Fans can also look forward to Black Rabbit, a new limited series premiering September 18th. Starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman, the crime thriller delves into the tumultuous lives of two brothers caught in New York City’s dangerous underworld. The series, created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, explores themes of family bonds and the consequences of ambition. Additionally, Netflix will add a curated selection of acclaimed films, including Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds” and “Bombshell” on September 1st and 10th, respectively, alongside the coming-of-age drama “Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret” on September 11th.

Prime Video’s Thrilling Lineup

Amazon Prime Video is also rolling out a compelling schedule for September 2025. A major highlight is the psychological thriller The Girlfriend, arriving on September 10th. Directed by and starring Robin Wright alongside Olivia Cooke, the six-episode series adapts Michelle Frances’ novel, exploring a mother’s growing suspicions about her son’s new partner. The streamer will also debut The Runarounds on September 1st, a coming-of-age series, and Confidence Queen, a K-drama thriller set to premiere on September 6th. Later in the month, fans can catch the action-packed spinoff Gen V Season 2 on September 17th, continuing the story from “The Boys” universe. The month’s offerings also include a variety of films, such as “A Working Man” on September 3rd and “Black Bag” on September 5th, adding depth to the streaming platform’s movie selection.

Disney+ Presents Family-Friendly and New Adventures

Disney+ is set to entertain audiences of all ages with its September 2025 releases. The beloved live-action reimagining of Lilo & Stitch makes its debut on September 3rd, bringing the Hawaiian adventures to a new generation. Fans of animation and the Star Wars universe can anticipate LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past arriving on September 19th, offering a continuation of previous LEGO Star Wars narratives. For Marvel enthusiasts, the animated series Marvel Zombies is set to premiere on September 24th, exploring a darker corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The sports comedy Chad Powers, starring and co-created by Glen Powell, will also make its debut on September 30th, following a former college quarterback’s attempt to revive his career through a disguise. Several documentaries and other series, such as “Dolphins Up Close with Bertie Gregory” and “Top Guns: The Next Generation,” also contribute to Disney+’s diverse September schedule.

Cinematic Releases Hit the Big Screen

In addition to streaming options, September 2025 also brings exciting new films to theaters. Material Love, a romantic comedy from director Celine Song starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans, is set to premiere on September 4th. This highly anticipated film promises a delightful exploration of relationships and choices. Cinema-goers can also look forward to “The Conjuring: Last Rites,” the latest installment in the popular horror franchise, arriving on September 5th.
