Laufey has rapidly ascended to international acclaim, cementing her status as a unique voice in contemporary music. Her sophomore album, “Bewitched,” earned her the prestigious GRAMMY Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, recognizing her distinctive ability to bridge classic jazz and classical sensibilities with a modern audience. Her music, celebrated for its intricate arrangements and Laufey’s soulful alto, has resonated deeply, positioning her as an artist who not only revives timeless sounds but also introduces them to a younger generation eager to explore diverse genres. Critics have noted her role as a “TikTok jazz ambassador,” highlighting her success in bringing jazz to the mainstream for Gen Z.

The “A Matter of Time Tour” directly supports Laufey’s third studio album of the same name, which was released on August 22, 2025. This latest project marks a significant evolution in her artistry, delving into more personal and vulnerable themes such as friendship breakups, the complexities of love, and introspection. Co-produced with Spencer Stewart and Aaron Dessner (known for his work with The National and Taylor Swift), “A Matter of Time” offers a more candid and emotionally expressive soundscape, yet retains Laufey’s characteristic elegance and genre-bending appeal. The album has been critically praised for its thematic boldness and sonic evolution, debuting at number three on the UK Albums Chart. Fans can expect to enjoy a setlist that expertly weaves new material from “A Matter of Time” with beloved tracks from her previous acclaimed works, offering a comprehensive glimpse into her growing discography.

Joining Laufey for this momentous Chicago performance will be the acclaimed English singer-songwriter and actress, Suki Waterhouse. Waterhouse, who has garnered recognition for her own music, including albums like “I Can’t Let Go” and “Memoir of a Sparklemuffin,” brings an atmospheric and compelling stage presence. Her musical style, blending indie pop, folk, and alternative rock with heartfelt lyrics and haunting melodies, will undoubtedly set a captivating tone for the evening. Waterhouse also notably opened for Taylor Swift on the Eras Tour, underscoring her growing prominence in the music scene.

Beyond the music, the “A Matter of Time Tour” highlights Laufey’s commitment to nurturing future talent through her philanthropic efforts. A portion of each ticket sale, specifically $1, will be donated to The Laufey Foundation. This initiative, launched by the artist, is dedicated to providing young musicians with essential resources and opportunities, with a particular focus on supporting youth orchestra programs. Laufey, who attributes her own musical success in part to her experiences with youth orchestras and scholarships, aims to ensure that aspiring musicians from all backgrounds have the chance to achieve their full potential.

For concertgoers heading to the United Center, doors will open at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025. Attendees are advised to note specific entry gates for different ticket types to ensure a smooth arrival: those with seated floor tickets should use the South Atrium, while General Admission pit ticket holders must enter through Gate 5. The United Center, a landmark venue in Chicago renowned for hosting major sporting events and world-class concerts, boasts a capacity of up to 23,500 for live music events and offers a comprehensive range of amenities. Its convenient location and accessible facilities promise a comfortable and exciting experience for all fans attending the show.

Laufey’s performance at the United Center marks another significant stop on her expansive tour, offering Chicago fans a chance to experience the artistry of one of music’s most compelling emerging talents. Those attending can look forward to an evening filled with sophisticated melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and a profound celebration of music’s enduring power and the importance of supporting the next generation of artists.
