The 2025 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards are set to celebrate the significant contributions of two influential artists, T-Pain and GloRilla, who will be recognized with prestigious honors at the upcoming ceremony. The event, scheduled for Thursday, August 28, in Los Angeles, CA, will see GRAMMY Award-winning artist, producer, and songwriter T-Pain receive the coveted BMI President’s Award. Simultaneously, GRAMMY-nominated lyricist, songwriter, and performer GloRilla will be presented with the BMI Impact Award.

T-Pain Honored for Enduring Career

T-Pain, celebrated for a career that has produced hit songs resonating across multiple generations, will be acknowledged with the BMI President’s Award. This accolade recognizes the depth and breadth of his work, which has left an indelible mark on the music landscape. His extensive catalog features iconic tracks such as “Buy U a Drank (Shawty Snappin’),” “Bartender,” “I’m Sprung,” and “I’m N Luv (Wit a Stripper).” These songs have not only achieved widespread commercial success but have also become cultural touchstones, cementing T-Pain’s legacy as a genre-defining artist.

GloRilla Recognized for Groundbreaking Artistry

GloRilla will receive the BMI Impact Award, an honor that celebrates her groundbreaking artistry, distinctive creative vision, and her substantial influence on the future trajectory of music. Since her breakout single “FNF (Let’s Go),” GloRilla has experienced a meteoric rise, charting an impressive four Hot 100 top 30 hits.
