CHICAGO, IL – The 24th Annual Chicago Pride Fest is set to transform the city’s historic Northalsted neighborhood into a vibrant two-day celebration of LGBTQ+ life, culture, and community on June 21st and 22nd, 2025. Stretching along Halsted Street from Addison to Grace Streets, this landmark street festival promises an engaging and diverse program headlined by an eclectic mix of musical talent, including pop sensation Jesse McCartney, R&B icon Deborah Cox, and acclaimed electronic artist Aluna.

This year’s festival, a cornerstone event leading up to the city’s larger Pride commemorations, also features performances by Australian electronic duo Confidence Man and indie-pop group The Aces. The comprehensive lineup across three distinct stages underscores the event’s commitment to showcasing a wide spectrum of artistic expression within and supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.

A Weekend of Music and Performance

The musical offerings are a major draw, with three stages providing continuous entertainment throughout the weekend. While both days feature a robust schedule, the lineup for Sunday, June 22nd, has been specifically highlighted, offering a glimpse into the caliber of artists attendees can expect.

The North Stage on Sunday is scheduled to host performances by headliner Deborah Cox, alongside rising artist Snow Wife, the popular tribute act Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute, and the dynamic group The Aces. The Waveland Stage will feature sounds from DJ Ca$h Era and iamBrandon, catering to diverse musical tastes. Meanwhile, the South Stage is set to welcome entertainers including The Divas, high-energy cover band Hello Weekend, and the nostalgic Sixteen Candles, ensuring there is music for every festival-goer.

Beyond the Stages: Community and Culture

Chicago Pride Fest is more than just a music festival; it is a comprehensive cultural event celebrating the breadth of the LGBTQ+ experience. In addition to live musical acts, the festival incorporates a variety of activities designed to engage and entertain attendees of all ages.

Featured elements include dynamic Chicago drag performances, showcasing the city’s renowned drag scene. Dance exhibitions will highlight different styles and groups. The internationally acclaimed Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus is also slated to perform, bringing their powerful voices and moving repertoire to the festival.

The festival also prioritizes community engagement with a dedicated Youth Pride Space specifically for teens, providing a safe and welcoming environment. Guest speakers will address topics relevant to the LGBTQ+ community, fostering dialogue and awareness.

Festival Features and Logistics

A beloved tradition returning this year is the Proud Pet Parade, which invites attendees to show off their cherished animal companions. Scheduled for Sunday, the parade is a highlight, often featuring creative costumes and led by local personality Miss Foozie. Prizes will be awarded, adding a fun competitive element to the heartwarming event.

Attendees can also explore offerings from over 150 food and merchandise vendors situated throughout the festival grounds, providing everything from local culinary delights to unique crafts and pride-themed apparel. This extensive vendor presence not only enhances the festival experience but also supports local businesses and artisans.

Entry to the 24th Annual Chicago Pride Fest operates on a suggested donation model. A contribution of $20 is recommended for entry. These vital funds play a crucial role in the successful execution of the festival, directly supporting the talented performers, dedicated festival workers, and valuable local non-profits and community programs. Notably, a portion of the proceeds helps maintain the iconic Chicago Pride Crosswalks within the Northalsted neighborhood, a visible symbol of the community’s presence and history.

Positioned strategically one weekend before the main event, Chicago Pride Fest serves as a key kickoff to the city’s Pride season. The annual Chicago Pride Parade is scheduled to follow on June 29, 2025, providing two consecutive weekends of significant LGBTQ+ celebration and visibility in the city.
