Events and demonstrations are scheduled at more than 1,600 locations across the United States on July 17, 2025, to protest President Donald Trump’s policies. These policies include mass deportations and cuts to Medicaid. The city of Chicago will serve as the primary location for the protests, with a downtown afternoon rally planned.

The day of action is titled “Good Trouble Lives On,” serving as a tribute to John Lewis. Betty Magness, one of the organizers, confirmed that the rally will feature a candlelight vigil.
