Playboi Carti Unleashes ‘Antagonist Tour 2.0’ Across U.S. with Full Opium Collective

NEW YORK, NY – August 25, 2025 – After a period of anticipation and previous setbacks, genre-defying artist Playboi Carti has officially announced the “Antagonist Tour 2.0,” set to kick off this fall. This marks Carti’s highly anticipated return to solo headlining stages for the first time since 2021, promising a major series of performances across 28 arenas nationwide. The tour, supported by his entire Opium label collective, is scheduled to begin on October 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and will conclude on December 1 in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

The Long-Awaited Return: Antagonist Tour 2.0 Announced

The “Antagonist Tour 2.0” represents a significant moment for both Playboi Carti and his dedicated fanbase, who have eagerly awaited a full headlining run. The original “Antagonist Tour” was initially announced in July 2023, with dates planned for that fall. However, the tour faced multiple postponements, first to early 2024 and subsequently its cancellation in March 2024, reportedly due to legal entanglements involving members of his Opium label, specifically Homixide Gang. During this period, Carti has continued to engage with fans through appearances, notably as a supporting act on The Weeknd’s expansive “After Hours Til Dawn” tour.

This new iteration of the tour aims to deliver the high-energy performances that have become synonymous with the Carti experience. Spanning across the United States, the 28-date arena tour will feature stops in major cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Brooklyn, among many others, providing ample opportunities for fans across the country to witness the spectacle live.

Opium Collective Unites for Major Tour

A significant draw for the “Antagonist Tour 2.0” is the inclusion of the entire Opium record label roster as supporting acts. This will be the first time that Playboi Carti tours alongside labelmates Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, Homixide Gang, and Apollo Red on such an extensive scale. Each of these artists has been steadily building their own momentum within the music industry, contributing to the vibrant and distinct sound of the Opium collective.

Ken Carson, known for his raw energy and chart success, and Destroy Lonely, whose atmospheric beats and introspective lyrics have garnered widespread acclaim, will both bring their unique styles to the tour. Atlanta-based rap duo Homixide Gang, integral to the Opium sound, will also join the lineup. Apollo Red rounds out the roster, promising a comprehensive showcase of the label’s talent.

“Music” on the Road: Supporting the Latest Album

The “Antagonist Tour 2.0” serves as a platform to celebrate Playboi Carti’s latest critically acclaimed album, “Music,” which was released earlier this year. The project debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, further solidifying Carti’s status as a leading artist in contemporary music. The album’s success, marked by extensive streaming numbers and critical praise, sets the stage for a tour that is expected to feature many of its standout tracks.

Securing Your Spot: Ticket Information and Presales

Fans eager to secure their tickets for the “Antagonist Tour 2.0” will have several opportunities to do so. An artist presale is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 26, at 10 a.m. local time, accessible through Playboi Carti’s official website. Following this, a Live Nation presale will commence on Wednesday, August 27, at 10 a.m. local time for select dates. The general public sale will kick off on Friday, August 29, at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster and other authorized vendors. VIP packages, offering enhanced experiences, will also be available.

Fan Anticipation and Industry Impact

The announcement of “Antagonist Tour 2.0” has generated considerable excitement among fans, particularly given the history of the tour’s initial cancellation. The prospect of seeing Carti perform alongside his entire Opium crew is viewed as a landmark event in the hip-hop landscape. This tour not only highlights Playboi Carti’s influence as a major music artist but also underscores the collective strength and growing appeal of the Opium label. The comprehensive nature of the tour, covering extensive U.S. dates, ensures that a broad audience will have the chance to experience this significant musical event. This news provides timely updates for the music industry and dedicated followers alike, marking a definitive step forward for one of hip-hop’s most distinctive voices.
