The festival faced challenges. It cancelled its 2024 tour. Insufficient ticket sales were the reason. Groovin The Moo also skipped 2025. Organizers sought a sustainable model. The 2026 event is a deliberate return. It’s a single-stage, single-day show. This format aims to rebuild carefully. It stays true to regional foundations. The festival belongs to regional Australia. This approach honors its core values. Great Southern Nights presents the event. It also has NSW Government support. ARIA partners with the festival.

A Star-Studded Lineup

Denzel Curry leads the lineup. He is a US hip-hop artist. Curry headlined Groovin the Moo in 2023. He brings an intense live show. His music blends hip hop, jazz, and punk. Baker Boy also performs. He is a Yolngu rap powerhouse. His second album, DJANDJAY, was released in 2025.

Dope Lemon is on the bill. This is Angus Stone’s solo project. They deliver hazy, late-night grooves. They are touring behind their 2025 album, Golden Wolf. Matt Corby will also appear. He brings his unmistakable voice. His fourth album, Tragic Magic, drops in March 2026.

Ninajirachi is a Central Coast producer. Her debut album, I Love My Computer, received accolades. It won multiple ARIA Awards. It also won the Australian Music Prize. Tones And I is a global hitmaker. She returns home after extensive touring. The Chats will deliver rock chaos. The Terrys also bring rock energy. Maple’s Pet Dinosaur is an emerging artist.

Celebrating Local Talent

The festival highlights local Northern Rivers artists. Lismore’s own The Colliflowers will perform. Angel White is another local act. She is a 17-year-old Indigenous singer-songwriter. A community focus is key. The Homegrown Hero competition offers a chance. Local artists can join the lineup. This keeps the festival rooted in its regional DNA. Kath Ebbs presents Cowboy Country. It is a popular queer line-dancing party.

Event Details and Tickets

Groovin The Moo takes place at Oakes Oval. It is an all-ages event. The festival runs from 11 am to 10 pm. Tickets go on sale March 3rd. Lismore locals get a special presale. General admission starts at $125 plus booking fees. Under 12s are free. Teens aged 12-17 pay $90 plus booking fees. Camping and shuttle services are available. This major music event offers a fresh start. It reconnects with its regional audience.
