Evanescence has officially announced three exclusive headline shows across Australia for October and November 2025. These intimate performances will precede the band’s highly anticipated role as special guests on Metallica’s massive M72 World Tour, offering fans a unique opportunity to experience the acclaimed group in smaller, more personal settings.

Formed in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1995, Evanescence, fronted by the iconic vocalist and pianist Amy Lee, became a global phenomenon with their 2003 debut album, “Fallen.” This seminal release, propelled by unforgettable hits like “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal,” sold over 17 million copies worldwide and earned the band two Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist. “Fallen” later achieved RIAA Diamond certification in the United States, a rare distinction solidifying its place in music history. Over two decades and five studio albums, Evanescence, with Lee as its consistent creative force, has maintained its signature sound: a potent blend of gothic atmosphere, powerful rock instrumentation, and Lee’s commanding, ethereal vocals, cementing their status as a major artist in the global music landscape.

Recent Musical Explorations and Collaborations

In 2025, Evanescence has continued to deliver compelling new music. Their track “Afterlife,” featured in Netflix’s animated series “Devil May Cry,” marked their first new music since 2021 and impressively climbed to the top of Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, achieving the band’s first-ever No. 1 at that format. More recently, the band released “Fight Like A Girl,” an anthem of strength and defiance contributed to the soundtrack of the John Wick spinoff film ‘Ballerina.’ Vocalist Amy Lee has also been at the forefront of significant collaborations, most notably contributing to the track “End of You” alongside Poppy and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante, showcasing her ongoing artistic vitality and willingness to explore diverse sounds within the rock genre.

An Intimate Australian Experience

These upcoming headline shows provide a special opportunity for Australian fans to connect with Evanescence on a more intimate scale. The band will perform in carefully selected venues, offering a stark contrast to the vast stadium stages they will soon occupy with Metallica. The dates are set for Thursday, October 30, at Metro City in Perth; Friday, November 7, at 170 Russell in Melbourne; and Friday, November 14, at the Metro Theatre in Sydney. This curated setting is expected to highlight the raw emotion and intense connection that Evanescence is renowned for, allowing fans to experience their extensive catalogue of hits and fan favorites in a memorable atmosphere.

Ticketing Information and Metallica Tour Context

Tickets for these exclusive Australian headline dates will be available for pre-sale starting Thursday, September 11, at 10 am local time, with general public sales commencing Friday, September 12, at 10 am local time via Destroy All Lines. The announcement of these shows comes as Evanescence is set to join rock titans Metallica and Suicidal Tendencies as special guests for the M72 World Tour. This major stadium tour will see Metallica perform across Australia in November 2025, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney. Evanescence’s participation in both their own headline dates and as support for Metallica underscores their significant standing in the rock music world.

A Dedicated Fanbase and Past Triumphs

Evanescence’s last tour in Australia, the “20 Years of Fallen Tour” in 2023, saw multiple shows sell out, a clear indicator of the band’s enduring popularity and the deep connection they share with their Australian fanbase. This new series of concerts, offering a more intimate perspective, allows fans to witness the band’s powerful live performance in a setting that emphasizes immediacy and intensity. It’s a chance to revisit the anthems that defined a generation and experience the band’s continued artistic evolution.

The news of these headline dates, alongside their prominent role on the Metallica tour, marks a significant moment for Evanescence in Australia. Fans can look forward to performances that celebrate their celebrated past while showcasing their vibrant present and future in the ever-evolving landscape of rock music.
