“House of Guinness” is set in 1868 Dublin and New York, charting the dramatic aftermath of the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, a pivotal figure responsible for transforming the family brewery into a global powerhouse. Following his demise, his four adult children—Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Benjamin—are thrust into a complex battle for control over the vast brewing empire. The series explores the personal ambitions, secrets, and rivalries that emerge as they grapple with their inherited legacy and the volatile socio-political landscape of the era. Creator Steven Knight has described the narrative as exploring “inheritance and desire,” rooted in real historical events.

The Cast Behind the Dynasty

Anthony Boyle stars as Arthur Guinness, the eldest son who has spent time in London and must now contend with his inheritance.
