BRIDGEVIEW, ILL. – Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Global Village in Dubai, the inaugural World Fair US opened its gates today, July 7, 2025, at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. A Vision Realized
The genesis of the World Fair US lies in the vision of founder Omar Al Taha. Inspired by the remarkable success and global appeal of the 2020 World’s Fair in Dubai, Al Taha aims to replicate that model of cultural exchange and entertainment on American soil. The event seeks to foster understanding and appreciation among diverse global communities through a shared space for celebration and discovery.
Exploring Global Cultures
The heart of the World Fair US experience is its extensive array of attractions and activities catering to all ages. Visitors can wander through bustling artisan markets, sample authentic street food from various nations, and witness captivating cultural performances on multiple stages throughout the day. Evening entertainment adds another layer to the festival, featuring carnival rides and performances on a grand stage. This combination of cultural immersion and classic fairground fun ensures there is something for everyone.
For younger visitors, the event features charming mascots representing the diversity of the regions. These include Ume the tiger for the Asia pavilion and Bruce the brown bear for the North America pavilion, adding a family-friendly element that engages children in the cultural exploration.
